Making progress together

Each person's potential contributes to everybody's success.

This is more than just a simple sentence: it's a genuine ethos that provides us with guidance in what we do. Because we are a modestly-sized company, we know just how essential each and every person's involvement is. Each employee has a vital role to play in helping us to deliver our projects and take up the challenges of tomorrow. Sharing expertise, encouraging innovation, developing people's sense of initiative – that's how we help you to develop so that we can move forwards together.

A learning company

Sharing the skills is also a means of developing them. Our development policy is ambitious… and is underpinned by concrete initiatives: it starts with an induction programme for new staff. And it also ensures that our employees' expertise continues to be developed throughout their careers.

YOUR QUALITY OF LIFE AT WORK IS OUR PRIORITY

At Expanscience, the well-being of our employees is at the heart of our concerns. We believe in the strong link between professional well-being and individual and collective performance. In order to meet our employees' expectations even better and to support them at the different stages of their personal and professional life, we launched a quality of life at work program in 2015.
It is one of the commitments of our "Better Living Program", our Corporate Social Responsibility program contributing to better living in all our communities.

The objectives: To develop employability, optimize health prevention and increase the pride in working at Expanscience, for everyone.

Commitments for work-life balance and employability

Expanscience implemented regular home working back in 2016 to promote work-life balance. In 2019, this agreement was renewed and extended to employees previously ineligible (management assistants, customer service, etc.), in the form of occasional home working: 10 days per year, with a maximum of one day per week.

Caring about the well-being of its employees, as part of an agreement on professional equality and quality of life at work, Expanscience has renewed its commitment to health and safety prevention in the workplace by setting up employee support services. Expanscience has restated the importance of its regularly updated health and welfare system and the right to disconnect, which guarantees work-life balance for all employees. Expanscience relies on its community of managers, the primary players in occupational health, who benefit from specific support.

Because the employability and fulfillment of our employees is of key importance to us, we regularly propose large-scale development programs, in addition to individual training. Because the ways to work and exchange are constantly evolving, we train our employees, for example, in project management techniques and agile methods, which are now widely adopted in the company.

Convinced that employee diversity is a source of wealth for the company, Expanscience is committed to the integration and continued employment of people with disabilities: our job offers are disabled-friendly. An integration procedure and adapted career follow-up are proposed and support is provided for the managers and relevant employees. Employees are encouraged to contact the sheltered sector for social and professional integration or reintegration (ESAT) for their services. Today, Expanscience has 4.7% of workers with disabilities (1.5% more than the average for the dermo-cosmetics and beauty sector) and is making progress every day, notably with the support of the Handiem and Arpejeh associations, to make Expanscience a more inclusive company.

Commitments in favor of parenthood

Our commitment to our employees who are parents and future parents has been rewarded with the signing of the Parental Rights Charter which provides, among other things, for:

  • working time and leave arrangements, particularly in the event of sickness/hospitalization of children,
  • a subscription to the Yoopies platform, a childcare and tutoring solutions service.

For mothers-to-be, Expanscience offers:

  • priority access to home working,
  • working time arrangements in the event of Assisted Reproductive Treatment (ART),
  • salary continuance regardless of seniority and a systematic increase, based on the category average increase on return from maternity leave,
  • “Maternity Welcome Pack” which includes, in particular, manuals on pregnancy and Mustela maternity products.
