Our purchasing and procurement

Our challenges
The goal is to create "responsible" supply channels, i.e. those that encourage local development by guaranteeing safe, sustained supplies. Expanscience includes sustainable-development criteria in all its calls for tender involving purchasing decisions. The purpose of this approach is to build a lasting relationship within a progress-oriented approach.
Procurement
Creating "responsible" supply channels means, first of all, plant sourcing that involves researching and selecting raw materials for the development of innovative active ingredients and components. It also means developing and securing such procurement channels, particularly in legal and contractual terms.
Sharing
In local terms, the concept of responsibility means achieving autonomy. For the company, this means building lasting relationships by sharing expertise with local partners so that the latter can acquire critical technical know-how. It also means promoting and preserving the know-how of local populations involved in supply channels.
Bio-piracy
Expanscience's challenge is to eliminate the overutilization of traditional resources without the approval of the relevant communities or authorities. Such overutilization could threaten both biodiversity and the work of small producers in developing countries.
Biodiversity
Special attention must be paid to the impact of the company's activities on biodiversity by choosing suitable, controlled plant-harvesting techniques with no environmental impact.
