The Epernon site
The Laboratoires Expanscience facility in Epernon (Eure-et-Loir, France) is home to the company’s production and research activities. In 2010, nearly 49 million pharmaceutical and dermo-cosmetic products were manufactured there.
A cutting edge production facility
Covering an area of nine hectares, Laboratoires Expanscience has installations in constant development, currently producing the 48.8 million products marketed by the company: 29.1 million dermo-cosmetic products and 19.7 million pharmaceutical products. All stages of the production chain, from the industrial pre-pilot to product packaging, are covered in Epernon. In particular, the facility has specific equipment for continuous emulsification and molecular distillation. This last exclusive process has made Laboratoires Expanscience the global leader today in avocado and soya unsaponifiables.

This link is assured in particular by industrial transposition pilots, controlled by specialists who, thanks to their dual expertise, facilitate the transposition of Expanscience researchers’ innovations to the industrial lines.
A High Environmental Quality approach
Laboratoires Expanscience is particularly attentive to the environmental impact of its industrial facility. In addition to implementing environmental measures, such as reducing water consumption and automating lighting, Laboratoires Expanscience is committed to a High Environmental Quality approach within the framework of construction of a building specifically for molecular distillation and plant extraction activities. This building, constructed at Epernon, incorporates HEQ characteristics: low energy consumption, reduced noise pollution, preference given to sustainable materials, etc.
